We have completed a major project for the MOD at an active airfield in Sussex. After an arduous and tender process, we secured the work with a combination of our keen pricing and quality management plan.

The project brief was to secure the airfield during flying times but allow the general public to enjoy the historic WW1 airfield at other times. The fencing had to be in line with the surroundings and conform to the local authority planning requirements.

The fencing chosen for this project was some timber post fencing and three rail fencing, with the posts set into the perimeters road. The timber was supplied by Hales sawmills and treated to D.O.T, 30 year expected lifespan standards. The fence incorporated a 1.0 m high tornado wire stock net designed to keep dogs out of the area.

The project was completed on time even allowing for the difficult weather conditions encountered during construction.
